What colors can I use?

But black isn't the only option:

Blue. Blue-black, azure, sapphire, ultramarine - the colors of the sea or the night sky. In combination with white, they create a spectacular contrasting tandem, with light blue - a natural, calming bedroom design in dark colors.

Green. When choosing a shade for the walls, remember the beautiful natural stones: malachite, emerald, jade. The greenish gamut of any brightness is relaxing, therefore ideal for a bedroom. Warm light colors will be a wonderful addition to the chosen tone.

Red. Burgundy is not the only one in the rich range of scarlet tones. Burgundy, pomegranate, ruby, port, sangria are the choice for the brave. Brown. Delicious shades of coffee or chocolate are the best base for northern rooms. They warm and relax. Add peach, honey, or mustard to maintain a warm range.

Grey. The reverse side of the warm brown is cold coal, anthracite, granite, marengo. Feel free to paint southern bedrooms in a dark color in any of the shades - the cold scale will balance the bright sun. Combines with any pastel and muted colors: blue, pink, lilac, yellow.

How to dilute dark tones?

Deep. For the interior of the bedroom in a modern style, first of all, you will need dusty, powdery and dirty shades. Choose any color, depending on your preference.

Warm. So that a gray, blue or green bedroom in dark colors is not too cold, dilute it with yellow, orange, red. Duets blue-orange, green-red, violet-yellow are considered classic.

Cold. The same goes for bedrooms that are too warm - add a little coolness to them.

What kind of furniture will fit?

Furniture for a bedroom always starts with a bed - not only the style, but also the color of future furniture depends on it. The bed can be:

• Metal... This will look appropriate in oriental or vintage interiors. Black will "dissolve" in the general color of the room, and white or colored, on the contrary, will become the main accent.
• Wooden... Depending on the shade of the surface, it is suitable for both a loft and a classic. Wenge, mahogany, walnut or cherry will make the bedroom even rougher. With light ash, oak, beech, alder, the interior will become airier and lighter.
• Soft... Fully upholstered beds are especially popular in modern style - choose the color of the upholstery at your discretion.

• White furniture looks spectacular on a black, gray, brown, blue background. A feeling of airiness is created.
• Cabinets in warm shades of wood will make the interior cozier and more pleasant.
• Black decoration is impractical - replace it with something less contrasting. If the tree is wenge, chipboard or lamination - gray, blue.

To make furniture absorb less light, order models with glossy facades - with the help of their reflectivity, a dark bedroom will look more spacious.

Dark furniture and wallpaper stand out on their own, so there shouldn't be a lot of extra decorations. Hang one or more paintings over the bed, place statuettes or books on the bedside tables, lay a cozy blanket or bedspread on top of the bed.

As for the curtains, their presence and appearance depends on the location of the room. In the bedroom with southern windows, thick blackout curtains are required so that bright rays do not interfere with sleep in the morning. In the northern and western rooms, you can do with light curtains, or even refuse them altogether.
