Features and Benefits
Kisei threads protect from sunlight and the quality of this protection depends on the density, which can be increased by layering muslin. Curtains are fixed on the cornice with any type of fasteners (eyelets, hooks, loops). They are presented on the market in a wide palette and of different types, therefore they will suit any room.
Of the advantages of muslin are:
- Wide application in the interior of the room (decoration of walls, partitions, beds, windows).
- Cloths are washed in a washing machine, do not require drying and ironing (when washing, they must be tied with a cord so that the loose ends do not knock out, or wash them in a laundry bag).
- Better air permeability (than conventional curtains).
Filament curtains are often used not as tulle, but as a transparent visible wall that divides the room into functional zones. For example, for dividing space in a studio apartment, in a living room, separating a workplace from a bed in a bedroom, etc. This technique has long been used in the interiors of cafes and shopping centers to create the effect of privacy.
To create an unusual look, you can make layers of different lengths with your own hands, for this you need to cut the threads at different levels (they do not bloom and do not crumble, but it is better to solder the ends).
The advantage of curtains of threads in the interior is that they are combined with fabrics of different densities and textures. For example, muslin can play the role of tulle and at the same time be combined with curtains or roller blinds.
You can independently change the design of thread curtains by stringing beads or pearls, stones, sequins in any order, or to create an ornament. They can be braided, tied in one bundle, decorated with hairpins and holders.
The color of the curtains should match the tones of the room's interior, match the color of the flooring, walls or furniture. If the room is made in a neutral color, then the emphasis can be made on gradient threads with a gradual or abrupt color transition.
What type of curtains to choose?
- Solid. Ready-made filament curtains with beads, stones or bugles are sold, where each thread is completely covered with fittings. If you hang them on a window cornice, then when the window is open from the wind, the beads will slightly tap, therefore they are more often used for internal zoning of a room. Care is simple, just wipe it with a damp sponge, this type is not very dirty and is not intended for washing.
- Kiseya. Simple filament curtains with tape for fastening. They outperform hard ones due to the fact that they are easy to wash and do not twist. Distinguish:

Kiseya in the interior of the kitchen
Filament curtains in the kitchen in the cooking area will be appropriate in a shortened version. Most importantly, the material must be synthetic (to avoid the spread of fire and the absorption of odors).
The threads to the kitchen in a small studio apartment play the role of a partition that will not make the space smaller, like false walls made of plasterboard do. If the kitchen is large, they can be used to separate the dining area.
Curtains in the living room
In the living room, thread curtains are suitable for dividing the seating area with the TV viewing area. They look good on windows together with a lambrequin in a contrasting color, with classic curtains to match the curtains. They can also be used to drape the cornice.
If the interior of the living room is made in a high-tech style, then it is better to choose a muslin with lurex and silver beads, threads with fringes are suitable for a classic living room, plain neutral colors are suitable for minimalism.
Bedroom with cotton curtains
Kisei in the bedroom is recommended to be selected without additional accessories in the color of the textiles. Whites are suitable for creating a light, relaxing atmosphere, while bright reds will accentuate creativity.
For the interior of a children's room, it is better to choose muslin with feathers and beads of a delicate color.
