Matte film
This is one of the most budget-friendly options for creating an intimate atmosphere. For minimalistic interiors, a white laconic film with a matte texture is suitable.
To fix the material, dampen it with water and apply it to the glass. The film will adhere reliably if all air bubbles are carefully expelled. It will reliably protect from the prying eyes of passers-by, provide sufficient lighting and leave no traces after removal.
In order not to feel isolated from the street, stick the film to the middle of the window. In addition to ordinary products without a pattern, you can use a film with imitation of stained glass painting.
Tulle
This is one of the classic ways to protect an apartment from prying eyes - tulle in combination with curtains perfectly prevents violation of personal space, gives the interior a coziness, hides window defects and disguises heating radiators.
If you live on the ground floor, combine tulle with curtains: during the day you will be protected by a thin fabric, and in the evening - by a tightly drawn fabric.
Jalousie
You can provide yourself with intimacy with the help of ordinary blinds - they are successfully used by designers both in modern interiors and in country style... Products with vertical or horizontal slats allow you to adjust the viewing angle.
If you think that blinds are more suitable for offices, complement them with curtains - this option looks more original than traditional tulle.
Another possible option is pleated curtains, a kind of blinds. They are made of dense textiles, so they look more "homey". The constructions are installed in the sash and can be opened together with the window or in fragments (from below or from above).
Cafe curtains
An even more interesting solution for creating coziness in the apartment is the curtains, reminiscent of the window decoration in a train carriage. They are fixed in the center of the window opening and cover its lower half, leaving access to sunlight.
Unlike blinds, they are easy to make with your own hands. You can use both ordinary fabric and transparent tulle, combining with blackout curtains.
This option has one drawback - home flowersplaced on the windowsill will remain out of sight. They can be placed on additional shelves built into the window opening, or placed on cabinets, side tables or tables, and decorate the window climbing plants.
Mirror film
Special film with one-sided visibility effect is a modern solution that protects from eyes, only slightly reducing the illumination of the room. Having pasted the material on the window, you will see everything that happens outside, and passers-by will see only the street and their reflection.
The film works only during the day and when the light is turned on in the room it becomes transparent, therefore it requires additional decor in the form of curtains.
The mirrored surface reflects the sun's rays, which will be a salvation from the heat in the summer. Another plus is the protective function. Even if the glass breaks, it will remain in the frame.
Each of the options presented will protect your privacy from prying eyes and provide peace of mind. The choice of the right material depends not only on individual preferences, but also on the style of the interior.
