Soda + vinegar
Until a few years ago, baking soda was an indispensable tool in the kitchen. It is able to clean dirt in the oven, microwave and on the stove no worse than untwisted expensive products.
Small particles dissolve easily in water and, unlike powdered products, do not scratch the walls of household appliances... The cleaning procedure is simple:
- free the oven from all unnecessary;
- make a thick slurry of baking soda and boiled water at room temperature;
- apply it to the entire contaminated surface and leave for 12-24 hours;
- wipe their microfiber with a napkin, the carbon remaining on the walls can be easily removed using a silicone spatula or the hard side of a dishwashing sponge;
- if there are still stains, prepare a solution of room temperature water and 9% table vinegar at a 1: 1 ratio and apply it to the stains with a sponge or spray bottle and rinse off after 30 minutes.
Soda gruel will perfectly clean not only the oven itself, but also the grates with baking sheets.
Lemon acid
This cleaning method is based on the effect of a steam bath. The hot steam will soften the solidified fat and can be removed from the walls without effort:
- preheat an empty oven to 200 degrees;
- mix 40 g of citric acid with two glasses of water in a heat-resistant dish and place this solution on the wire rack;
- turn off the heating after 40 minutes;
- wait until the oven has cooled down and go over its walls with a sponge and any detergent.
Dishwashing liquid
You can use dishwashing liquid instead of citric acid. Add about 50 ml of the product to a bowl of water and heat the solution until it boils. Then go over the walls with the hard side of a sponge or a plastic spatula.
Ammonia
This method is best used only for the most running ovens. Ammonia vapors will 100% deal with any pollution, but have a very pungent odor, therefore, cleaning in this way can only be done in a well-ventilated kitchen:
- preheat the oven to 180 degrees;
- pour a liter of water into a heat-resistant dish and place it on the bottom;
- pour 200 ml of ammonia into another bowl and place it on the wire rack;
- after complete cooling, remove the carbon deposits with a regular sponge;
- ventilate the room.
Salt
Ordinary table salt is able to clean only non-strong contaminants. This way can be applied regularlyTo keep the oven in order:
- cover the grease spots with a thin layer of table salt;
- heat the oven at 150 degrees until the salt absorbs the melted fat and turns brown;
- wash the oven with soap or dishwashing liquid.
How to avoid greasy stains and deposits
The best oven cleaner is prevention.Only regular use of a thick cooking sleeve for baking will help to reduce the appearance of greasy stains. If sleeve cooking is not suitable, you should try to clean the oven with a sponge and dishwashing detergent after each use.
Purchased products will also help to clean the oven, "heavy artillery", which contains alkali or acids, works best. You can use folk and industrial remedies together, not forgetting that you need to work with gloves.
