What are the sizes?
There are two measurement systems:
- English (measured in pounds and inches). Used in the USA, UK and several other countries.
- Metric (cm and meters). Distributed among European and domestic manufacturers.
The sizes of the beds, depending on the country of manufacture, may differ slightly from each other. Therefore, when choosing a bed, first of all, they take into account at which furniture factory it was made, for example, at a Russian or foreign one.
It is important to consider, which by standard dimensions means the width and length of the mattress laid on the base, not the bed.
Below is the general size chart:
Name | Length (cm) | Width (cm) |
---|---|---|
Double | 180-205 | 110-200 |
One and a half | 190-200 | 120-160 |
One bedroom | 186-205 | 70-106 |
King size | more than 200 | more than 200 |
Children | 120-180 | 60-90 |
In addition to standard dimensions, custom-made non-standard beds are also produced. In particular, by increasing the width and length or changing the shape - semicircular, round, square, oval. In this case, mattresses are made to order.
