Characteristic features of the Scandinavian style
Scandinavian style is a trend in interior design, which is characterized by natural materials, the predominance of light shades, rigor, simple geometry of lines. The premises are not cluttered and spacious with a minimum amount of decor. The main fundamental direction is not decor, but the play of contrasts, sensations and feelings. In such a design, zoning, all kinds of partitions, height differences, etc. are appropriate.
- The main task of the doors is to open and close access to the premises without attracting attention to themselves.
- Most often, Scandinavian-style doors are devoid of decorative elements and are simply painted in a certain color.
- Initially, only light wood species were used for manufacturing, or dark wood was painted in light shades. Now it is permissible to manufacture products from veneer, polyvinyl chloride and other artificial analogs.
- Particular attention is paid to the platbands. They are made as inconspicuous as possible, subtle, the tone is chosen exclusively similar to that of the door.
- The hardware is simple, without pretentious elements, usually silver rather than gold and matte instead of shiny and bright glossy.
- Often, door leaves repeat the texture of walls or floors. This technique is used to minimize their visibility in the room. In exceptional cases, Scandinavian designs are applied to the doors: patterns in the form of snowflakes, zigzags, deer and trees. Plaid and stripes are also popular.
Types of doors
There are two types of doors - interior and entrance, we will consider each of them.

Doors in Scandinavian interiors are found mainly in light wood species: birch, pine and ash. The natural texture of the log house emphasizes the wealth of the owners and brings in the elements of comfort and warmth. Also used canvases made of PVC, veneer, lightweight with honeycomb filling, laminated.
- Compartment doors (sliding). They will help to divide the spacious room of the apartment in the Scandinavian style or make the closet and niche less visible to the eye. They give the room an urban feel, helping to feel the atmosphere of a big city in your own home.
- Swing. They give a lot of light and free space, typical for Scandinavian homes. Double-leaf models are made of solid solid or with frosted or smooth glass inserts.

Ease of creating a Scandinavian-style interior in a limited color palette.Doors are usually matched to the color of already covered walls and floors, or wood, similar to furniture. They are mounted to maintain the overall temperature in the house - if all interior elements are in a warm range, then the shade of the doors should not be cold.
Several rules are taken as a basis: all surfaces are painted in a single tone or combined in two classic combinations: white and black, red and white, white and blue.
White
Classic for Northern European style. Partitions do not weigh down the space and can be easily combined with any other tone.
Brown
A brown doorway is usually worth choosing in order to combine it with wood furniture, parquet, or laminate flooring. A variety of shades of brown will help make a room special. It is coffee, dark nutty, mahogany, beige and a shade of freshly brewed coffee.
Black color
Black and close ones in it: wenge and blackberry, are inferior to white in versatility. In contrast to the airy and weightless light, dark doors add sharpness, severity and grace to the interior. It is especially effective if they are decorated with metal fittings: brass or bronze with a matte finish.
Grey
The color is not as "hackneyed" as white, but it is also classic for the Scandinavian style. These doors work well under floors, picture frames and furniture of a similar color. Gray looks modest, calm and at the same time luxurious and affirmative.
Design ideas and door decor

Glass partitions are also a natural material, so characteristic of the Scandinavian current and perfectly convey the motifs of snow and ice.
Also, when choosing sliding doors with glass inserts, a pattern is applied to one of them in the form of animals, trees and other elements characteristic of the Scandinavian style.

In some cases, panels on the doors are decorated with wooden details to match the canvas itself, with discreet images or aged.
