Paint
According to the regulations, gas workers need free access to all elements of the gas infrastructure, therefore, it is impossible to sew up the pipe tightly - this threatens not only with a fine and prosecution of inspections, but also with an explosion in the event of a leak.
So that the element does not attract too much attention, paint it in the color of the walls, tiles or wallpaper - this way the unwanted pipe will cease to be conspicuous.
For coloring, acrylic or oil paint, as well as nitro enamel are used. The procedure is as follows:
- turn off the gas;
- clean the surface;
- prime;
- paint;
- after waiting for the first layer to dry, apply the paint again.
Put away in the closet
The reason for the peculiar arrangement of pipes and their bends is strict regulation. A curved gas pipeline is not easy to hide, but there is a possibility to close at least some of the "inconvenient" communications.
When ordering a kitchen, provide wall and floor cabinets with holes in the right places: this will allow you to close the gas pipe, and the aesthetics will hardly be affected.
Importantso that the gas pipeline has free access, and the lockers are not deprived of natural ventilation. This will prevent gas from accumulating during a leak.
Hide among the shelves
If you are a fan open kitchens, and instead of cabinets, you prefer to use shelves, the gas pipe will not be a problem. It will fit well into a modern interior and, being among the jars, bottles and decor, will not attract attention.
The pipe will look harmonious next to railing, matched to the tone: all the cutlery will be placed on it, and the communication itself will look like a component of the system.
A horizontal engineering pipe located at a height can be easily disguised by placing a shelf under it and placing kitchen utensils on it.
Make a box
A specially designed box will allow you to completely hide the gas pipe. According to the rules, it must be removable and not impede air circulation, and also not create additional pressure on the pipe. The access to the valves must remain free.
If you wish, you can make a box of an unusual shape by turning it into a small cabinet. You will need a metal profile, drywall and finishing material for finishing decoration.
Shift attention
If you picked up a stylish modern set, added interesting decor, and the kitchen turned out to be harmonious and expressive, who will notice the gas pipe against this background? But if this element annoys you and haunts you, cover it with a bright painting by creating an unusual gallery on the upper cabinets.
If the chimney is located high enough from the stove and takes a horizontal position, throw LED garlands with warm light on it: in the evenings they will create a cozy romantic atmosphere, and the chimney will serve as a practical addition.
Close up with a false wall
The most difficult and time-consuming way to reliably hide a gas pipeline is to install a false wall, observing the key safety requirements. The level of the wall is increased using sheets of drywall and metal profiles, leaving hatches for access to valves and meters. The holes must be located opposite all technical assemblies.
At the top of the false wall, it is necessary to install a ventilation grill: air exchange will not allow gas to accumulate in the event of a leak. It is also worth installing a gas analyzer that will inform you about the presence of hazardous impurities in the air.
Turn flaw into dignity
If you are a connoisseur loft style, then engineering communications will be an ideal addition to the kitchen interior. However, any modern style - be it contemporary, fusion, Scandinavian or eclectic - welcomes such expressive details that give it character in the setting.
Paint the pipes for metal - copper and gold shades are in vogue - or accent them by covering them with bright contrasting paint.
It is up to you to hide gas communications or not, but adherence to safety rules should remain unchanged.
