Soda and vinegar
A mixture of vinegar and baking soda is great for removing not only stains, but also unpleasant odors.
- Take half a glass of baking soda and half a glass of vinegar and mix them well.
- Place the pillow in the washing machine.
- Add a mixture of vinegar and baking soda to the powder compartment.
- Wash the garment with the appropriate wash cycle indicated on the label.
If the tag has not survived, then stick to a few rules:
- Choose a washing mode at a low temperature, no more than 40 degrees.
- Do not use the spin at high speeds, 400 rpm is sufficient.
- To prevent the filler from clumping, place tennis balls in the washing machine along with the pillow.
When the product is washed, it is recommended to dry it in the fresh air, for example, on the balcony.
A mixture of cleaning agents
To clean almost any stain, mix one cup of dish soap, any laundry detergent, and bleach together.
- Fill a bowl with water, add the mixture there and stir well. Better to use hot water.
- When the products are completely dissolved in water, place a pillow there and hold it for 30-40 minutes.
- When the product is well saturated with water, transfer it to the washing machine and turn on the appropriate wash cycle. There is no need to add anything to the detergent compartment.
Lemon and hydrogen peroxide
One of the most popular folk remedies for removing yellow spots, as well as eliminating unpleasant odors.
- Mix half a glass of lemon juice and one glass of hydrogen peroxide. If you don't have lemons on hand, you can use citric acid dissolved in water.
- Add the resulting mixture to a bowl of hot water and place a pillow there for 1 hour.
- Then transfer the product to the washing machine and turn on the rinsing mode.
Soda and essential oil
If your pillow has yellow stains but you don't want to wash your pillow, you can make a dry topical cleaner.
- To do this, mix half a glass of baking soda and 10 drops of tea tree essential oil.
- Apply the prepared mixture to the dirt and leave for 40-50 minutes for the agent to work.
- When the required time has passed, scrub the treated areas thoroughly with a brush.
- Then remove the remaining baking soda and air dry the pillow.
How to keep your pillow from getting dirty
To keep your pillow clean as long as possible, follow these simple rules:
- It is advisable to wash the pillows twice a year.... Place a few tennis balls in the washing machine along with the product to keep the filler from clumping. If the cover is white, it is recommended to add bleach to the powder when washing. Choose a mode with a temperature no higher than 40 degrees and a spin of no more than 400 rpm.
- Do not dry the product in direct sunlight... Better to do this in the shade in the fresh air.
- If you don't care for your pillows, it is recommended to change it every 3-4 years... If you treat it with care, then it will last 5-6 years.
- If you do not have the opportunity to wash the pillow yourself, then contact the dry cleaner at least once a year.
