Heater
A device that helps us out in the cold, when the heating has not yet been turned on, and it is already uncomfortable outside the window and in the apartment. Heaters are divided into convector, infrared, fan heaters and oil radiators.
The power consumption of devices depends on three indicators: power, heating mode and operating time. If we take an average power of 1.5 kW and 5 hours of operation, then the consumption per month will be 75 kW * h. During this period, the payment for electricity increases significantly.
To save money, close doors and insulate windows, and choose heaters that turn off periodically to heat the room.
Electric stove
Another "gluttonous" device that consumes on average from 30 to 150 kWh per month. Indicators depend on both the power and the amount of time spent on cooking. To save energy, stick to simple rules:
- choose the correct diameter of the pan for the burner
- cover the pot or pan with a lid to reduce heat loss;
- use a flat bottom dish.
When choosing between electric and induction surfaces, give preference to the second: it uses less energy.
Refrigerator
The device consumes about 25.8 kWh per month. The indicator depends on the mode of its operation, the load of products, the frequency of opening. To save moneyspent on electricity bills, install the appliance away from sunlight, heating radiators and a stove.
Open the refrigerator as little as possible and do not keep the door open for too long to avoid wasting energy. Never put hot and warm food inside and defrost the freezer in time.
Washer
The average power consumption of the device per month of washing is 20 kW * h. The higher the temperature, the more kilowatts "accumulate", so wash your laundry at 30 degrees if the contamination is insignificant.
Also, try not to exceed the maximum load, but do not fill the drum halfway, otherwise you will need to wash more often.
If the degree of soiling is light or medium, do not use the prewash cycle.
Air conditioning
The device, indispensable in the hot season, consumes from 15 to 35 kWh per month if it works 7 hours a day. The lower the room temperature, the lower the amount of energy consumed by the appliance.
Today, economical inverter air conditioners are becoming more common. They are more productive than conventional devices, they are quieter and go into energy saving mode as soon as the room is cooled. When the temperature goes beyond the established norms, the air conditioner is switched on again.
Dishwasher
It is the most effective assistant in the fight against dirty dishes. On average, the energy consumption for washing 6 sets of dishes per cycle is 0.62 kWh, and the monthly consumption is 18.6 kWh.
To reduce consumption, do not store dirty dishes for long periods of time, as food leftovers will dry out and will be more difficult to wash off. To make the machine spend less time cleaning, choose an appliance with a quick wash cycle.
Calculate the average amount of dirty dishes before buying so you don't have to wait until the appliance is full.
Electric kettle
A popular kitchen appliance consumes about 13 kWh per month. To increase thermal conductivity and save on bills, thoroughly descale the kettle and unplug it when not in use. Do not boil water "with a reserve" - this way you will reduce the time of active operation of the device.
Keep in mind that boiling water in an electric kettle is less expensive than using an electric panel for the same purpose. An even more efficient way of saving is boiling on a gas stove.
For each apartment, the number of electrical appliances, the amount of energy they consume and the duration of operation will differ, so calculate the indicators based on the power of the device and correctly approach the optimization.
