Luxurious baroque bathroom

It is in this style that all rooms of the apartment are sustained, not excluding the room for taking baths. Its huge area by modern standards made it possible to equip a truly luxurious room in which you can not only relax and take a bath, but also lie down near the fireplace on an elegant ottoman, mark, meditate in silence by a live fire. This room, like the entire apartment as a whole, according to the designers' plan, should serve as a resting place from the hustle and bustle of a huge city.

Finishing

The luxurious bathroom was once finished with plaster stucco elements in the Baroque style. It was reconstructed, they also added stucco elements to the ceiling and painted it with a special dye composition that repels moisture.

The underfloor heating that looks like antique parquet is actually made of porcelain stoneware. The room is heated not only by warm floors, but also by convectors near the window; in addition, a heated towel rail serves as a battery.

The standard window was changed to a stained glass one to increase the view and let in as much air and light as possible into the room. In winter, when it is snowing outside, it is so nice to lie in a warm bubble bath and enjoy the contrast of sensations!

Shine

Lighting plays a huge role in the perception of the interior. For a chic baroque bathroom, the designers chose an appropriate chandelier, complementing it with two large floor lamps on both sides of the window opening and candlesticks on the mantelpiece, designed in the same style. There was also a place for modern lighting along the cornice, equipped with a control panel: from it you can not only start various lighting scenarios, but also turn on music.

Color

In this case, one could safely refuse from light, pastel colors that set the tone in modern interiors - a huge and luxurious bathroom made it possible to use juicy, bright colors. The contrast of smoky dark blue walls and white plumbing, black and gold décor elements match the style and create an uplifting mood.

The design of the door was decided in an unusual way: it was chosen not white, but a calm beige shade, in tune with the porcelain stoneware floor. This is done intentionally so that it does not draw attention to itself, which in this room should rightfully belong to more interesting elements of the interior - a velvet ottoman, a fireplace, a chandelier.

Furniture

In the design of the luxurious bathroom, special attention was paid to the furniture. On the one hand, the style obliges, but on the other, today it dictates its own rules, therefore the furniture was chosen not antique, but modern. It is lightweight, stylish, and at the same time surprisingly harmoniously fits into the interior “with history”.

The chests of drawers are made to order, and the bizarre ottoman couch is upholstered in delicate velvet to match the walls, the touch of which is so pleasing to the skin.

Decor

The main decorative element of a luxury bathroom is a fireplace. Since the house is old, there was already a fireplace here; all that remained was to find a suitable marble portal. The candlesticks decorating the mantelpiece are the products of modern craftsmen, but their outlines are harmoniously combined with the baroque lines of the fireplace and walls.

The mirror above the fireplace has an impressive size, corresponding to the size of the room. It is framed by a white and gold baroque frame.Another active element of the decor is a masked portrait of a “stranger” on one of the dressers. It is a symbol that anyone can read however they want.
