Design of a studio apartment 46 sq. m. with a bedroom in a niche

Layout

Initially, the apartment had a free layout. Among the many possible planning solutions, the designers have chosen one that provides a minimum of partitions, the most functional and ergonomic.

The entrance to the studio is combined with the entrance to the bathroom and leads to the kitchen-dining room. The living area with a place for watching TV programs is separated from the kitchen by a high desk-island, which is adjoined by a bar counter. The bedroom in the design of a studio apartment is located in a separate niche and is separated from the living room with a blackout curtain.

Style

It was a rather difficult task to combine the style of the sixties, which the owner of the apartment really liked, with the modern lightness and freedom of the interior. In order for both of these directions to be realized in the project of the apartment, the designers opted for light neutral colors of walls and furniture, natural wood of the floor, adding blue shades of textiles and some pieces of furniture and ornamented patterns to them.

The main decorative element in a small apartment is a wall made of dark natural wood. Thus, the project successfully combines classic, modern and retro motives, and in general, the style can be defined as eclecticism.

Living room

Space. The total volume of the room is divided into a living room and a kitchen - the division is carried out by furniture, a curbstone with an adjoining bar counter turned towards the kitchen is adjacent to a sofa turned towards the living room. To further emphasize the zoning, the ceiling was made at different levels.

Furniture and decor. The main decorative element of the living room and of the entire interior of the studio is a "wall" with a TV panel. It is made in the retro style of the "sixties" and in color echoes the floorboards. The cozy beige sofa is complemented by a bright blue armchair.

Light and color. The big plus of the apartment is 46 sq. m. are large windows to the floor - thanks to them, all rooms are very bright. Evening light is provided by LED illumination - it is laid along the ceiling in the niches, the Ambiente chandelier accentuates the living room and is a decorative element of the interior.

Light walls help to visually expand the volume of the room. Blue as a complementary color adds freshness and lightness, while orange accents - sofa cushions - bring brightness and liveliness to the interior of the studio.

Kitchen

Space. The apartment has 46 sq. m. the kitchen is small, so it was especially important to correctly plan the working areas. The work surface stretches along the wall, under which there are closed storage cabinets. Above the work surface there are light shelves instead of closed ones that “eat up” space. The bar table is docked to a pedestal in which you can store the necessary supplies.

Furniture and decor. The most striking decorative element of the kitchen is a work apron made of patterned tiles. In addition to functional kitchen furniture, the interior is complemented by a small coffee table in the retro Eames style, reminiscent of the sixties of the last century.

Light and color. There is one window in the kitchen area - it is larger, up to the floor, so there is ample lighting during the day. The windows are covered with pleated curtains that open in two directions - up and down. If necessary, you can cover only the lower part of the window opening in order to save yourself from immodest looks from the street.

Evening light is arranged at different levels: the general lighting is provided by overhead ceiling lamps, the work surface is illuminated by spotlights, and additionally by two metal sconces, the dining area is highlighted by three white pendants.

Bedroom

Space. The bedroom in the design of a studio apartment is isolated from the general room with a thick blue curtain with a white pattern. Near the bed there are two tall wardrobes with a mirrored surface, thanks to which the volume of the bedroom seems somewhat larger. The cabinets have niches that can be used as bedside tables.

Light and color. Large windows in the studio apartment provide good natural light to the bedroom with the curtains drawn. Ceiling lamps provide general evening light, and two sconces above the sleeping places are provided for reading. The brown wallpaper behind the headboard provides a warm and inviting atmosphere, accented by brightly colored pillows.

Hallway

The entrance of the studio forms a single space with the kitchen and is not separated from it in any way, it is only indicated by another floor covering: in the kitchen, these are wooden boards, as in the rest of the apartment, and in the hallway there are light tiles with geometric patterns. A growth mirror with a pouf for changing shoes, a white chest of drawers with a table lamp - that's all the equipment in the hallway. In addition, there is a deep built-in wardrobe to the right of the door.

Bathroom

The decoration of the bathroom is dominated by light marble-like porcelain stoneware - the walls are lined with it. There is ornamented tiles on the floor, in addition, part of the wall in the wet area and near the toilet is decorated with mosaics.

Despite its small size, the bathroom has a shower, a large washbasin, a toilet and a washing machine. A hanging cabinet under the sink and a cabinet above the toilet installation are used to store bath and cosmetic accessories.
