In order to create a truly exclusive setting, corresponding to its owner, the designer chose a rather complex and rare style - eclecticism. The combination of Scandinavian interiors with elements of the eighties of the last century furnishings made it possible to achieve an impressive effect while fulfilling the basic requirements of the customer.
Layout
Initially, the apartment was not planned in the best way, so some changes had to be made. So, the bathroom was slightly increased, while the area of the entrance area decreased. The partition between the kitchen and the living room was dismantled. The loggia was used to create a study - it was insulated and attached to the kitchen. As a result, the space of the apartment has expanded, its usable area has increased.
Living room
Since there is only one living room in the apartment, it performs two functions at once - a living room and a bedroom. At the same time, the placement of these functional areas in the room is quite original - the sleeping part is located near the windows, in the bay window, and the living room is near the entrance.
The initial layout of a one-room apartment of the P-44 series was changed by demolishing part of the partitions and removing the doors - they were replaced with glass partitions moving along the guides. The hallway and the living room are separated by just such a partition-door.
The storage system also turned out to be very original: under the ceiling along the wall there is a row of closed boxes, illuminated from above by an LED strip: it looks stylish and convenient to use. Books and magazines are stored in shelves of an unusual shape - the designer got the idea for their creation in the works of the Memphis group.
The structure in the bay window - a podium with colored pillows near the wall - can be used as a recreation area during the day. At night, the podium turns into a comfortable sleeping place. To prevent the light from disturbing during the night's rest, the windows are equipped with roller blinds. Comfort is provided by a light curtain made of white tulle, which does not prevent sunlight from entering the room. Three colored suspensions hanging from the ceiling accentuate the lounge area.
The design of a one-room apartment looks original due to the competent use of the available space and the use of non-standard design techniques. For example, an ordinary bookcase has become a decorative element of the interior due to the fact that its shelves differ in height and width.
The wardrobe has occupied a partition, which is otherwise difficult to use, freeing up useful space. Multi-colored book spines in combination with shelves of different sizes look very dynamic and stylish. In addition, the rack serves as a place to "store" the glass partition between the room and the kitchen - it is pushed there if necessary to combine both rooms.
Kitchen
The kitchen room also performs two functions at once. This is the kitchen itself, where food is prepared, and the dining room. The cooking area is small, which is justified in a bachelor apartment. In the dining area there is a large table with comfortable armchairs around it, a sofa against the wall separating the kitchen and the former loggia, turned into a study.
To facilitate the perception of the kitchen unit, the top row of closed shelves was not raised too high to the ceiling. To keep the kitchen equipment out of the way, the cabinet fronts are designed with minimalistic décor - they are white, sleek, and devoid of handles.
The window block with the door leading to the loggia from the kitchen was removed - only the lower part of the wall was left under the window, covering it with a countertop on top. A small laptop table was placed in the corner and an armchair next to it. It turned out to be a cozy working corner. Such a combination is another technique that made it possible to transform the P-44 layout in a one-room apartment, which was initially not very comfortable, into stylish modern housing that meets the highest comfort requirements.
Bathroom
The area of the bathroom, increased due to the entrance hall, accommodated not only a large bathtub, but also a shower cabin, which is very convenient. The cabin is separated from the washbasin by a solid wall, and from the side of the bathtub is closed by glass doors. This solution allows you to isolate the shower area and ensure its privacy.
The niche near the bathroom is covered with greenish glass, illuminated from the inside, and tiled. Its geometric pattern adds dynamics to the interior of the room. The use of suspension lamps adds coziness.
