From twigs

Branches with a diameter of 25-35 mm must be fixed using the checkerboard weaving technique.

From planks

This is one of the most popular materials from which you can build any type of budget fence. Boards are environmentally friendly, easy to work with and beautiful, but they require additional treatment with protective compounds - from moisture and from pests.

If you want to make your own fence, take planed and edged boards. They must be well dried.

1. Mark the area and prepare the boards of the desired length.
2. Dig in the supports, reinforcing them with concrete and treating the underground part from decay.
3. Secure the boards vertically or horizontally with nails or screws. The wider the gaps are, the more economical the fence will be.

Logs

Cylindrical wooden logs of the same diameter, joined together, are called palisades. You can prepare them yourself.

The easiest way to build a fence is to set stakes directly into the ground. Delineate the required area, dig a trench 1/3 deep of the log. Prepare the stakes by treating the underground part with bitumen. The distance between the metal or wooden supports should be 2.5 m. But if you want the palisade to be strong, fill in the concrete foundation.

Attach the horizontal beams to the posts, and then nail the stakes in such a way that there is a gap between them, which prevents the wood from deforming when exposed to water.

From bottles

Craftsmen have adapted plastic bottles as structural components of the fence for several reasons:

• bottles are available, especially if acquaintances and neighbors are involved in collecting containers;
• from waste material, a stable fence is obtained that does not react to moisture and sunlight;
• the fence attracts attention with its unusual appearance.

The bottles should be connected with a wire, fixing it between the supports. It is recommended to pour sand or crushed stone into the first row. To give a neat appearance to the "log" from the bottles, it is necessary to put the bottom on the neck of the last upper bottle.

From pallets

Structures are also called pallets - they are used to conveniently transport various goods. Pallets can be purchased inexpensively or found for free; they make not only fences, but also furniture.

To create a fence, you can use both whole products and disassembled ones.

1. First, you need to dig depressions at regular intervals and install wooden supports.
2. Trenches should be backfilled with rubble and sand, or filled with cement if this is a durable option.
3. The pallets are fixed to the posts using self-tapping screws and a screwdriver, then processed to protect against decay.

In addition to supports, a metal mesh can be used for stability.

From plants

A fence can not only be built, but also grown. Such a fence does not require repair: every year it only gets stronger and grows. Sure, hedge proper care is necessary (protection from cold weather, fertilization, pruning), but the result is worth it.

Most suitable plants to form a green fence - shrubs. Noble crops in the form of a juniper, thuja and boxwood looks richer, but grows slower and is more expensive. Choose willow, acacia, or bubblegum to admire the picturesque enclosure without waiting years.

Tightly woven crowns can be given any shape by resorting to a topiary haircut.

Out of doors

A great idea for those who have recently completed renovations by installing new doors. Wooden canvases look reliable and unusual: they can be painted in different colors or, conversely, brought to a common "denominator".

Such a unique fence will definitely not be overlooked. It is not necessary to use the same elements: a variegated collection of solid canvases or doors with glass inserts looks much more interesting than a similar fence. Traditional posts should be installed as supports.

You can breathe new life into old unnecessary tires too. The decomposition period of rubber is very long, and harmful substances are released in small quantities and do not enter the soil.

Most easy way to make a hedge - to dig the tires into the ground by half. But a tall fence is built differently. It is necessary:

1. Calculate the number of tires.
2. Wash them thoroughly from dirt to facilitate the construction.
3. Drill holes for the wire in the support tubes.
4. Install the supports to a depth of 40 cm, pour concrete.
5. Bury the first row of tires halfway.
6. Thread the steel wire into the corners fixed on the posts and string on the tires.

Such a fence will last for many years. It can be decorated with bright colors, or used as a vertical gardenby filling the ground and planting the plants.
