What are the types and their features?

Many people think of a living room with beamed ceilings, wooden walls, animal skins, carpets and rough furniture when they say country. On the one hand, it really could be American country music. On the other hand, American is just one of the style options.

The modern country style, in contrast to the authentic, is more restrained - in wall decoration not only wood is used, furniture is chosen comfortable, but not so rough.

French Provence style and completely different - refined, light, decorative in its own way. It is dominated by white, pastel shades, small floral patterns.

Inside the country, there is also an English direction - like all design from England, the rustic style is restrained, even a little prim. There is not so much decor in it anymore, the cosiness is more likely to be in simplicity.

What color range should you choose?

Before deciding what color should the interior be, tones that are definitely inappropriate should be excluded: bright neon, chrome metal, excessively dark.

In order not to miscalculate with the choice, be guided by the palette of nature: green, yellow, orange, red, brown, beige. For more naturalness in country, they rely on a warm range, cold shades can be used, but to a limited extent.

The only exception to the above rules is the Provence style - instead of natural wood, it is painted white or pastel, instead of rich terracotta or brown - gray, pale pink, peach, heavenly.

What materials to use in decoration?

The main finishing material is wood. IN log houses the walls are simply left "bare", wood panels are used to imitate the country style in the interior of the apartment, laminate on the walls etc.

Wood can be used both on its own and in combination, for example, with tiles (in the bathroom or in the kitchen).

What should be considered when choosing furniture and appliances?

In the rustic style, handicrafts are especially appreciated, such as wooden furniture. Antique sideboards, dressers, chests, which are decorated by hand, should occupy the main places in the rooms, be the center of attention.

As for upholstered furniture - everything attention to upholstery... No shiny velvet or fancy velor. Instead, textured fabrics like matting or cotton. Old leather products with characteristic scuffs and braided headsets are also suitable. Fabric sofas and armchairs can be monochromatic, but it is better to choose models in a cage, a flower, under patchwork.

Technique in a rustic home setting cannot be flashy new. Antique stylized devices will better fit into country: enamel instead of chrome, handles instead of sensors.

Plumbing should also be in the spirit of the village: taps with lambs in copper or bronze, washbasins, toilets with hanging cisterns.

What decor and textiles to use?

There are a lot of country-style décor, so when planning your budget, put a large chunk of your total expenses on this line.

First of all, pay attention to textiles: curtains or curtains on the windows, tablecloths or table tracks, cushions on sofas and chairs, rugs or sturdy floor mats. In the bedroom, blankets and bedspreads are required. In the kitchen or dining room - decorative napkins, embroidered towels.

In addition to textiles, they are used as decoration:

• Dishes... From pretty plates or earthenware pots, to polished pans and saucepans.

The style has a special opinion about light: first of all it should be cozy, secondly - light. Of course, this does not apply to all zones - for example, in working in the kitchen lighting should be adequate. Kitchen

The kitchen space combines comfort and functionality, thanks to a large massive headset, open shelves with dishes, and a variety of textiles. Dishes and utensils for cooking, serving items, potholders are kept in plain sight.

Country tables are decorated with tablecloths or paths, chairs can be softened with comfortable cushions. Natural flowers or a mini-garden with fragrant herbs are suitable as an addition.

Bedroom

A rustic-style child's room may seem like a controversial decision, but admire one of the interiors: the space looks stylish and cozy. Country is versatile - suitable for any age and gender, so it's a good idea to use it in a nursery.
