Paintings and photos
An empty partition in the entrance area makes it visually unfinished - this is easy to fix with paintings and posters... Framed images not only add aesthetics to the setting, but also tell about the taste of the owner of the apartment from the doorway.
To visually expand the room, choose landscapes with a perspective receding into the distance - the gaze will slide inward, creating the illusion of a less cramped room.
It is better to decorate the hallway with one large painting or photograph than many small ones. Choose quality reproductions or works by aspiring artists. Avoid replicated pictures and your own portraits - the latter is more suitable for a bedroom or living room.
Housekeeper
Decor small hallway should combine benefits and attractiveness. A small locker for keys will serve as an excellent addition to the decor: it can be purchased ready-made, ordered from craftsmen or do it yourself.
A key holder with shelves or a drawer will become a convenient console for small things and will guarantee individuality to the interior.
Mirrors
Nothing expands space as effectively as mirror... Moreover, it increases the amount of lightmaking the room more spacious.
If there is space, do not limit yourself and hang two products:
- a large mirror canvas on the wall or door will allow you to admire yourself at full height,
- and a small one - with an ornate frame - will add decorativeness to the hallway.
Mat
Many are considering door mat only as a utilitarian thing, but even such a simple element can make the hallway more stylish and memorable. Rugs with lettering look good in a modern style, self-woven rugs - in scandinavian and country, and patterned products are suitable for classics.
If you want to add aesthetics to the environment, avoid synthetic rugs in unnatural shades. Put a practical product with a hard pile outside the door to leave dirt from the soles outside, and place a multi-colored or wicker rug in the apartment.
Hanger
In a small hallway, we do not recommend installing floor hangeras it takes up too much space. The best option would be a wall structure.which will become a decoration entrance zone.
Approach the hanger selection with fancy: Several different-colored hooks nailed to a wooden board look much more interesting than a purchased item. No board - use reiki or a shelf from an old cabinet.
Calendars, whiteboards
Ideas will appeal to those who want to bring a little more order into their lives. If the partition in the hallway is empty, fill it in with a non-standard calendar: do not buy a ready-made one, but print the one you like from the network.
It is also easy to make noteboards with your own hands by painting a plywood or photo frame with slate paint or fixing a cork sheet on it.
a door
There is no room for decor - let the hallway decorate a door... Even the most ordinary canvas can be turned into a work of art by gluing moldings or a ceiling rosette, painted by hand or painted in a bright color.
An old door can be easily updated with self-adhesive film or washable wallpaper, mirrors, chalk paint or slats - the main thing is not to be afraid of experiments.
Lighting
Sometimes it is enough to replace the lamp to transform the whole environment. Perhaps you have long wanted to make the hallway lighter - change the old shade for a more modern one: transparent or with diffusing light.
Change the light bulb to warm or cold depending on your preferences, hang garlands or decorate the entrance area with an interesting chandelier. Original lamps can be found on the Internet flea market or made with your own hands.
Flowers
If enough light gets into the hallway, place a houseplant on the floor, cabinet or shelf - it will revive the interior and give the room volume. But do not give up flowers even if there is no window in the entrance area: take a closer look at shade-loving plants and botanical copies (fakes) that look no worse than real ones today. Dried flowers and stabilized moss are also good options.
Decor reflecting hobby
Finding a place for your favorite books or magnets is sometimes difficult, but even in a small hallway you can find a corner for your favorite gizmos that will delight you right from the doorway.
Place the books on the shelves under the ceiling, combine the magnets into a composition on a framed board, thereby freeing the refrigerator, and decorate a free wall with a collection of embroideries.
Tidy up the entrance area, make it more comfortable, add decor - and then your hallway will cease to be boring, turning into one of your favorite places in the house.
